- Overview
You will play a key role in driving governance standards, managing resources, improving PMO processes, and ensuring compliance with contractual and organisational requirements.
The position is ideal for an experienced PMO Manager with strong leadership, governance, financial, and stakeholder management expertise.
- PMO Manager Responsibilities
- Lead the PMO team and manage day-to-day PMO operations.
- Produce governance, financial, resource, and delivery reporting.
- Support the PMO across all activities defined within the PMO Charter.
- Oversee RAID, action, decision, and change management processes.
- Support programme planning, governance reviews, and assurance activities.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, organisational, and customer governance requirements.
- Manage programme resource planning and forecasting activities.
- Support financial management, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and procurement activities.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardisation across PMO processes.
- Act as a key point of contact for programme stakeholders.
- PMO Manager Skills and Experience
- Significant experience leading PMO teams within large and complex programmes.
- Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Expertise in PMO governance, assurance, reporting, and programme controls.
- Strong financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning capability.
- Experience managing RAID, change control, and programme governance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience supporting Defence, Government, or highly regulated programmes.
- Experience supporting large‑scale transformation or service delivery programmes.
- Good understanding of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Share Point, SAP, and reporting tool experience.
- Additional Requirements
- Must have an Active DV Clearance.
- Candidate must hold or have held high level security clearance; successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which may take a minimum of 18 weeks.
