OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Infrastructure / Virtualisation Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design, implementation, and support of VMware virtualised environments in an enterprise setting. This role is ideal for someone with a strong VMware background, complemented by general Wintel experience and a willingness to support broader infrastructure operations.Key Responsibilities Deploy, manage, and support virtualised environments using VMware vSphere technologies including vSAN, and NSX. Implement and maintain VMware ARIA Suite (formerly vRealize) Support Wintel infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and related services. Assist in capacity planning, monitoring, and troubleshooting to optimise system performance. Work collaboratively with internal teams to support infrastructure projects and upgrades. Maintain technical documentation at low level design and provide knowledge transfer where necessary.Key Skills & Desirable Experience* VMware
VCP certification (or equivalent hands-on experience). Expertise in VMware vSphere, vSAN, and NSX. Experience with VMware ARIA Suite for operational visibility and management. Strong Wintel infrastructure knowledge, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy. Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in enterprise environments. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a technical team.Additional Skills Experience with Dell and HPE infrastructure solutions, including VxRail. Some exposure to networking (Cisco or Juniper experience helpful but not essential). Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or PowerCLI) for system management. Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) beneficial but not required. Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices
