To go alongside the new tech platform, a new operating model needs to be designed to ensure reliability and velocity of change through the platform and data product teams using the platform in the future. This will entail establishing detailed processes for the engineering teams and any integrated services.
The role combines aspects of both DevOps engineering and service design, focusing on bridging the gap between development, operations, and user experience. The service model that needs to be designed involves designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure while also considering how systems meet user needs and business goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Automating infrastructure
- Optimising CI/CD pipelines
- Ensuring seamless deployments, all while incorporating user-centered design principles
Experience of designing service models including DevOps engineering teams to support cloud technologies and/or data platforms (ITIL experience not essential but useful).
Communicating design concepts and solutions effectively to various stakeholders.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their services and the teams that build and run services on them.
Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high-level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum of 10 weeks.
