Our Client are looking for a number of SC or DV cleared Google Cloud Platform Engineers focused on designing, deploying, and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.
Key requirements include:
- 2-5+ years of experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Automation Scripting (Python, Bash)
- Strong networking/security skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management: Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure GCP architectures, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Automation & IaC: Utilise Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and automate tasks using Python or Bash scripts.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security guardrails, IAM roles, and network security protocols, including Cloud Security Command Center.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Create and manage containerized environments, frequently utilising Kubernetes (GKE) and Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Data & Monitoring: Set up data storage solutions, manage data pipelines with BigQuery or Dataflow, and monitor system performance for optimisation.
Required Technical Skills & Experience:
- GCP Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with core GCP services (VPC, GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage).
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in Terraform is highly required.
- Scripting/Programming: Strong proficiency in Python or Bash for automation.
- Networking & Security: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, Load Balancing, and IAM best practices.
- Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect or Data Engineer certifications are highly valued.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in cloud consulting or engineering.
- Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
- Strong collaboration skills in Agile teams.
