We are seeking a high-impact Operations Director to join a fast-growing MSP at a pivotal stage of its journey. Having recently entered Series B funding, the business is focused on accelerating growth, scaling operations, and driving performance at pace. This is a senior leadership role with significant influence across technology, delivery, and commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive operational performance and support rapid business growth in a scaling MSP environment.
  • Lead the delivery of new products, product enhancements, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Act as a senior bridge between architecture and engineering teams, providing challenge, direction, and informed debate without the need for deep hands-on technical expertise.
  • Apply strong commercial judgement, asking the right questions to ensure initiatives deliver clear business value and make commercial sense.
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies, optimising processes and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of 4-5 senior leaders from day one, including Heads of Architecture, Engineering, and related functions.
  • Build a high-performing, self-sufficient leadership team by empowering others and fostering accountability.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience driving performance, growth, and scale within an MSP or similar services-led environment.
  • A pragmatic, commercially astute leader with the ability to balance business priorities with technical understanding.
  • Confident and robust communicator; comfortable challenging constructively and making clear, decisive calls.
  • High emotional intelligence with a people-first leadership approach.
  • Strong people manager who can quickly establish credibility and lead senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.

Location

Minimum 3 days per week onsite in Staffordshire (with flexibility to spend more time onsite as required). Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum of 10 weeks.
