The Role: SME Data Architect Location: London, 12 month contract Our client are a leading bank who are revolutionising the way customer data is handled within the organisation. They are setting up a multi year transformation journey where they will look at the customer data journey, impact and engagement and set about to try to solve one of the biggest issues in the FS sector. As the Lead Data Architect, you will: Evaluate the current state and proposed approach for the Customer Data Programme, offering critical insights and refinements. Design and Build a strategic Customer Reference Data Store, aligning with industry best practices. Validate and Refine Estimates for workstreams and resource allocation, ensuring the programme is well-structured for success. Advise on Technology : Provide recommendations for implementing technologies such as Salesforce , Dynamics , or custom solutions. Strategic Architecture : Deliver architectural recommendations for all five workstreams, spanning data remediation, organisational hierarchies, and governance frameworks. Your Expertise We are looking for someone with: Extensive Banking Experience : Proven track record in building Customer Reference Data Stores within major financial institutions. Platform Integration Expertise : Deep knowledge of integrating customer data with platforms like Salesforce or Dynamics , or delivering bespoke implementations. Programme Mobilisation Skills : Experience working in early-stage initiatives, with a consultative approach to team structure and technical design. Strategic Thinking : Ability to align architectural solutions with business goals, ensuring scalability, compliance, and operational efficiency. Self-Service Platform : Empowering Relationship Managers and customers to manage their data independently. Data Remediation : Tackling existing data issues collaboratively. Organisational Hierarchies : Strategic solutions for managing customer and organisational structures. Standards & Policies : Governance frameworks for consistent and compliant data management.
