We’re looking for a highly technical Head of Modern Workplace to lead and deliver the transformation of the digital workplace for a dynamic, fast-growing international organisation. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you will manage a team of six and take full ownership of the end-user computing (EUC) and Microsoft 365 environment, including Intune and Autopilot.
This is not a traditional management role—you don’t need to have managed teams before. Instead, we’re looking for someone who has delivered complex migrations, knows the Microsoft stack in depth, and can lead others technically while influencing key decisions across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic & Technical Leadership
- Develop and execute a forward-looking Modern Workplace strategy in collaboration with senior leadership
- Define and deliver a global, standardised end-user hardware and software environment
- Architect and maintain a secure, cloud-first endpoint estate leveraging Microsoft Intune and Autopilot
- Lead the design and rollout of a centralised Microsoft 365 tenant and Entra ID integration
- Migration & Modernisation
- Lead UK and Ireland-wide migrations to Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online
- Migrate users to a unified Entra ID / Azure AD, consolidating multiple legacy domains
- Replace legacy device provisioning with a robust Autopilot-driven zero-touch deployment process
- Standardise and automate device configuration, compliance, and lifecycle management via Intune
- Streamline software packaging and distribution pipelines for global consistency
- User Enablement & Support
- Develop self-service enablement frameworks to boost user adoption of M365 and collaboration tools
- Work closely with support teams to ensure technical readiness, documentation, and training
- Promote high performance, reliability, and security across all EUC platforms
- Team Leadership
- Manage and grow a high-performing team of six engineers and specialists
- Provide mentoring and hands-on guidance across projects and daily operations
- Promote a culture of technical excellence, automation, and continuous improvement
About You
- Technically strong with deep hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, and endpoint platforms
- Experienced in delivering complex migrations and endpoint transformations in enterprise or multi-entity environments
- Strong architecture and design experience across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and endpoint platforms—able to define scalable, secure, and standardised modern workplace solutions.
- Able to bridge strategic goals with technical delivery—confident at both boardroom and engineering level
- You’ve worked in fast-paced, change-heavy environments such as M&A integration or private equity-backed settings
- Passionate about user-centric IT design and reducing complexity with automation and standardisation
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven delivery experience across:
- Microsoft 365 tenant harmonisation & migrations
- Entra ID / Azure AD integrations
- Endpoint standardisation with Intune and provisioning via Autopilot
- SharePoint Online and file server migrations
- Ability to simplify complex environments into efficient, scalable systems
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder skills, with the ability to lead teams through change
Desirable Certifications (or equivalent experience)
- Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator (MD-102)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-100 + MS-101)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Architect
- ITIL® v4 Foundation or Intermediate
Location & Travel
This is a UK-based role with a hybrid working model: primarily remote (up to 90%) with occasional travel to company sites across England for strategic engagement and rollout activities.
