We are supporting a global client to help them find an ERP Test Manager for their European ERP implementation on a permanent basis .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Testing Roadmap: Take full ownership of the end-to-end testing roadmap, including functional, SIT, regression, performance, and UAT/business testing.
- Develop and Review Strategies: Create test strategies and plans for integration, non-functional testing, performance, and UAT. You\’ll also review and approve test strategies and plans submitted by third-party partners.
- Manage Test Environments: Define requirements for and contribute to the setup of test environments.
- Set Standards: Define and enforce testing best practices for both internal and external teams, covering everything from documentation and methods to tool usage.
- Ensure Quality Gates: Maintain control over code releases into testing and staging environments by building a strict quality gate process into the release management workflow.
- Team Leadership: Manage Test Leads, assigning responsibilities, and providing guidance throughout the testing lifecycle. You\’ll work with them to identify resource needs and to plan test scenarios, scripts, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage Testing Activities: Oversee the creation and execution of test cases for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Facilitate UAT: Help facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with business stakeholders, capture feedback, and ensure necessary adjustments are made before deployment.
- Defect Management: Monitor and track defects and other testing issues, working with the development team to ensure their timely resolution.
- Reporting: Provide regular status updates and reports on testing progress, issues, and resolutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Automate Testing: Design and execute a variety of testing techniques to achieve maximum test automation.
- Obtain Sign-off: Ensure and provide evidence of full testing for all deployments, securing sign-off from all parties at each stage of testing.
Required Skills and Experience:
- At least 3 years of proven experience managing test teams and activities in a large-scale ERP environment.
- Experience with the full lifecycle implementation of an ERP system, including Functional Testing, Smoke testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Performance Testing, and UAT.
- Demonstrated knowledge of key testing cycles such as Functional, SIT, Performance, and UAT, including test approaches, planning, and methodologies related to ERP systems.
- Proficiency in using Azure DevOps to manage, track, and report on key test cycles.
- A strong understanding of ERP product solutions and architecture.
- Proven experience managing all phases of testing in both agile and waterfall environments.
- Experience defining test strategies and plans, and coordinating test resources, including subject matter experts and end-users.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage business and technical stakeholders and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to be hands-on and produce test cases, with experience coordinating teams of business users to write and execute test scripts.
- Experience in test management for integrations using tools.
- Knowledge of or experience with test management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and influence individuals at all levels of the organisation.
This role is fully remote, with occasional travel within the UK.
