A financial services organisation is seeking an experienced DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to support the modernisation of enterprise applications, working within a cloud-first, Agile, and DevOps-focused environment. The role will be London-based with hybrid working, supporting a strategic Azure-based platform using Java, microservices, and commercial off-the-shelf products.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and enhance DevOps pipelines and infrastructure for Agile development teams
- Collaborate with Cloud and IT Ops to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient solutions
- Maintain and improve infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tooling
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and drive automation and performance improvements
- Ensure smooth rollout, operability, and service delivery of platform solutions
- Contribute to the transition of services to a third-party provider
Tech Stack & Requirements
Essential: 4+ years with Azure Cloud, including PaaS services (SQL DB, CosmosDB, ServiceBus)
- Experience with Azure DevOps, IaC, Kubernetes, Linux admin, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong knowledge of networking, security products (e.g. Azure WAF, Checkpoint), and cloud monitoring tools
- Scripting in PowerShell and experience with virtualisation (e.g. VMware)
- Familiarity with enterprise environments and regulated industries
Desirable: Tools: Nexus, SonarQube, Jenkins, Ansible, Azure Log Analytics
Knowledge of private cloud hosting, Citrix, and application security best practices
