We are recruiting for a defence organisation in the UK with over 2,000 employees across multiple locations. As part of our client’s investment in technology and transformation, we’re looking for an experienced IT Change & Release Manager to join their IT Service Management (ITSM) team in Bristol.
Your Role
In this role, you’ll help manage and coordinate all aspects of Change & Release activity. You’ll ensure changes are implemented smoothly, risks are minimised, and improvements are continually driven across our systems and services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Governing and controlling changes and releases across all environments
- Reducing the risk and impact of releases on systems and users
- Reporting on KPIs and performing trend analysis
- Managing Post Implementation Reviews and driving service improvements
- Supporting process documentation and tooling
- Chairing meetings such as CAB and Change Planning
- Assisting with audits and deputising for the Change & Release Lead when needed
Key requirements:
- At least 3 years’ experience in IT Change Management
- Experience in a customer service or service desk environment
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow)
- ITIL knowledge (certification desirable)
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to manage workloads with urgency and focus
- Passion for continuous improvement and challenging the status quo
