Business Analyst

Location: Guildford (Hybrid – 1 day per week/Month in the office)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Β£46 000 – Β£55,000 depending on experience + Excellent Benefits

About the Role

We are working with a market-leading insurer currently undergoing a major transformation of its UK Commercial business. They are seeking a Business Analyst to support key initiatives within their Target Operating Model programme.

This permanent role offers the opportunity to work across core system modernisation, data-led digital development, and internal/external integrations – aimed at improving the end-to-end journey for customers, intermediaries, and internal users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the scoping and delivery of change initiatives, in line with the Business Analysis Framework
  • Define, document, and manage business requirements with full end-to-end traceability
  • Facilitate workshops and drive consensus using a range of analysis techniques
  • Create and manage epics, and documentation using Confluence and Jira
  • Apply recognised modelling techniques such as BPMN and data modelling
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution providers, and technical teams to ensure effective delivery
  • Support all phases of testing including user acceptance testing (UAT) and implementation

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience delivering change across medium to large-scale programmes
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
  • Proficient in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, BPMN, and business modelling techniques
  • Strong understanding of use cases, personas, and value streams
  • Flexible and delivery-focused, with the ability to manage shifting priorities

Desirable

  • Experience in Financial Services, particularly Commercial Insurance
  • BCS Diploma in Business Analysis (or equivalent qualification)
  • Familiarity with business change and transformation programmes
