Application Manager – Finance Systems (Great Plains)
A leading global organisation is looking for an experienced Application Manager – Finance Systems to play a key role in a major financial systems transformation project. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of business-critical finance platforms and lead the move away from Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains ahead of a full systems migration by 2028.
Sitting at the intersection of Finance and IT, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement in finance technology environments.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing and supporting core finance systems including Great Plains, XLR, and Financial Analyzer
- Leading system enhancements, change initiatives, and continuous improvements
- Acting as the key liaison between Finance and IT teams
- Managing third-party vendors and support providers
- Driving the planning and delivery of the future finance platform
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience administering Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains
- Technical knowledge across UI, middleware, SQL, and system integrations
- Good understanding of finance/accounting processes within ERP systems
- A collaborative, proactive mindset with strong communication skills
- Confidence managing service backlogs and technical documentation
