Head of Cloud

My client, a leading entertainment company, is looking for a Head of Cloud to join their office just outside of London to lead and manage the multi-cloud platform team in delivering high-quality and innovative cloud solutions in a heavily regulated environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the multi-cloud engineering function.
• Ensure the team operates in line with industry best practices and, where possible, aligns to the AWS and Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Centre of Excellence, focusing on reliability, security, operational excellence, cost optimisation, and performance efficiency.
• Have strong oversight of the day-to-day operation of the team, ensuring that when incidents occur, they are quickly resolved.

You will have the following:

• Working knowledge of cloud principles and technologies.
• In-depth understanding of DevOps concepts.
• Proven experience managing cloud platforms and containerisation technologies.
• Experience managing engineering teams, ideally in a regulated environment.
• Experience setting and defining cloud strategies across AWS and Azure.
