This is a FULL-TIME vacancy, with shifts across Monday to Sunday and a wage starting at £12.71 per hour!

What We Need

La Familia , our bartenders are a huge part of the experience.

Upstairs, La Familia is our vibrant Mexican taqueria – warm, welcoming and full of personality.

Downstairs, La Discoteca turns up the energy with cocktails, tequila, Latin music and late-night partying.

We're looking for bartenders who can bring both sides of the venue to life.

You’ll be confident behind the bar, comfortable working at pace and obsessed with delivering drinks consistently.

You'll enjoy interacting with guests, bringing energy to the room and creating memorable experiences.

Our drinks are made using jiggers for speed, accuracy and consistency , and we’ll give you the training you need to become a fully

Certified Bartender at La Familia.

You don’t need to know everything on day one – we’re looking for people with the right attitude, personality and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines, spirits and other drinks to specification.
  • Use jiggers accurately and efficiently to maintain consistency while working at pace.
  • Learn the La Familia cocktail menu, classic cocktails and key spirits, particularly tequila, mezcal and Latin American drinks.
  • Deliver drinks consistently in terms of recipe, presentation, garnish and quality.
  • Engage naturally with guests and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked bar throughout service.
  • Complete bar preparation, opening, cleaning and closing procedures correctly.
  • Follow stock rotation, labelling and day-dotting procedures.
  • Minimise wastage and report breakages or stock issues correctly.
  • Follow responsible alcohol service, Challenge 25 and all licensing requirements.
  • Understand and follow Ask for Angela and drink-spiking awareness and response procedures.
  • Upsell cocktails, promotions, events and other products naturally where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with bartenders, FOH staff and management to maintain a smooth operation.
  • Help create the right atmosphere – welcoming and energetic upstairs, and vibrant and party-focused downstairs.

  • Able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working quickly during high-volume periods.
  • Takes pride in cleanliness, presentation and consistency.
  • Willing to learn and develop their drinks and product knowledge.
  • Cocktail bartending experience is desirable but not essential.
  • An interest in tequila, mezcal, Mexican and Latin American drinks is a bonus.
