We’re looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our London Head Office team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded, highly organised, and detail-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in supporting our merchandising function.

London is our home, with our range available in our flagship store in Notting Hill and stockists around the world. With the loyal support from our London customers, we were able to set up our eCommerce operations, launching an international online store that delivers La Coqueta to families around the world. Creating luxury children’s clothing from newborn to age 10, La Coqueta strives to represent all ages, lifestyles, and nationalities.
As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will support the Merchandiser across all trading, planning, and stock management activities. You will help to ensure that La Coqueta delivers commercial success by maintaining optimal stock levels, maximising sales, and protecting margins. Your work will directly contribute to achieving departmental KPIs and ensuring smooth collaboration between Buying, Retail, eCommerce, and Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities- Produce and update weekly and monthly trading reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Analyse sales, stock, and margin data to identify trends and propose actions that optimise performance.
- Maintain and update the WSSI (Weekly Sales, Stock & Intake) to support accurate forecasting.
- Conduct in-season reviews and reforecasts to highlight risks and opportunities against plan.
- Prepare and assist with markdown and promotional proposals to support commercial events and seasonal trading.
- Present trading insights and recommendations to the Merchandiser and broader team.
- Maintain detailed and accurate line cards, range plans, and product listings across systems.
- Support the Merchandiser and Buying team in preparing range reviews and seasonal planning meetings.
- Analyse product performance by category, price point, and attribute to inform future buying and merchandising decisions.
- Collaborate with Design and Buying to ensure new products are correctly attributed, costed, and launched on schedule.
- Raise and track purchase orders, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery.
- Monitor the critical path, proactively following up on delays or risks to launch dates.
- Maintain system integrity by ensuring all product, price, and stock data is up to date and accurate.
- Liaise with the warehouse, retail, and eCommerce teams to resolve stock discrepancies and support product availability.
- Build a deep understanding of the La Coqueta customer profile and apply insights to trading decisions.
- Track competitor activity, pricing, and promotional strategies to support commercial positioning.
- Contribute ideas for improving merchandising processes and reporting tools to enhance departmental efficiency.
- Minimum 2 years’ Head Office merchandising experience in fashion, lifestyle, or retail.
- Advanced Excel skills and a strong ability to interpret data accurately.
- Highly numerate and detail oriented with excellent analytical skills.
- Confident communicator able to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercial acumen and an understanding of luxury or premium brand retail.
- Conversational Spanish is advantageous but not essential.
