We are recruiting a full‑time Healthcare Assistant / Care Worker to support clients in their own homes in and around Hatfield. The role includes providing personal care and daily living support, including washing, dressing, toileting, mobility support, meal preparation, light household tasks, shopping support, companionship, and emotional support. You will also support safe medication routines in line with company policy, monitor clients’ wellbeing, report changes or concerns promptly, follow care plans, complete accurate care records, and work professionally with families and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide respectful personal care and practical support
- Promote dignity, independence, and choice
- Support medication routines in line with company policy and training
- Assist with mobility and moving and handling where required
- Prepare meals and support light household tasks
- Provide companionship and emotional reassurance
- Observe and report any changes in clients’ health or wellbeing
- Follow care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding procedures, and company policies
- Complete accurate care notes and records
- Caring, reliable, patient, and professional approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in care is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of personal care, mobility support, and manual handling is an advantage
- Understanding of medication support procedures is desirable
- Awareness of infection prevention, health and safety, and safe working practices
- NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care is desirable, or willingness to work towards one
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and agreed shift patterns
- Ability to travel to clients’ homes in and around Hatfield
