The Sales Engineer will work directly with the Navy Marine Corps & Coast Guard Sales Team providing equipment demonstrations, technical support, and pre/post-sales support for customers. This role will be responsible for determining customer communications equipment requirements, recommending solutions, and providing a complete accurate bill of material to meet those solutions. This position will be on-site in Stafford, VA and will support 50% CONUS and/or OCONUS travel.
Essential Functions
- Work with team members to support successful technical demonstrations, trials, and exercises.
- Provide input during the evaluation stage of the sales process working in conjunction with the account managers as an equipment technical advisor.
- Understand customer requirements and use-cases for product applications and recommend equipment solutions that will meet those requirements.
- Understand the features of L3Harris products and convey how those features benefit individual and unique customers.
- Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders to support customer requirements and support efforts.
- Provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical support for L3Harris products to customers, including operation, limited maintenance, and technical support.
- Provide training to customers on L3Harris products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 6 years prior experience; Graduate Degree with 4 years prior; lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Active US Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills
- L3Harris tactical radio experience using HF, VHF, UHF, MANET & SATCOM waveforms.
- Internet Protocol (IP) networking experience.
- Systems engineering/integration experience.
