L3 Harris Technologies is seeking an Inventory Management Supervisor in its Norfolk VA location. This role manages the planning, control, and execution of inventory, storage, and material movement activities to support warehouse operations. The supervisor ensures accurate material flow that aligns with program schedules, customer requirements, and operational excellence goals.
Essential Functions:
- Develops, implements, and continuously improves inventory control processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Analyzes inventory levels, inventory positioning, planned production and sales forecasts.
- Oversee the liquidation and transfer of stock and demand.
- Initiate immediate actions in out-of-stock situations.
- Leads, trains, and develops stockroom team members; ensures workload is balanced and performance expectations are met.
- Communicates proactively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including customers and vendors, to coordinate material needs, resolve issues, and ensure timely flow of information.
- Interprets and communicates job‑area policies, practices, and procedures to employees across the organization to ensure understanding, consistency, and effective implementation.
- Work to justify and gain cooperation of other parties on practices, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, there is a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Computer skills, including MRP and Microsoft Suite.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- Detail‑oriented and highly organized.
