Compensation Range: Between $70,000 - $120,000 CDN annually
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will support the planning, execution, and optimization of goods and services acquisition activities. You play a key role in contract management, process improvement, and supporting strategic projects.
Essential Functions:
- Manage competitive bids (RFPs) end-to-end: preparation, evaluation, and recommendations;
- Negotiate and administer contracts (pricing, terms and conditions, timelines), issue executive summaries and obtain approvals;
- Execute procurement activities while ensuring compliance with deadlines and requirements;
- Issue and track purchase orders through to final payment;
- Monitor supplier performance, compliance, renewals, and dispute resolution;
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives;
- Advise and support internal stakeholders on procurement practices;
- Contribute to project execution (facilities, services, installations);
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Relevant university degree with significant experience (6+ years) in procurement;
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management;
- Experience in contract negotiation and management;
- Proficiency with MRP systems (SAP/Ariba an asset) and Microsoft Office;
- Bilingual (French/English);
- Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and teamwork.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
