About the Opportunity
Tewkesbury is the headquarters for the Intelligence & Cyber International division. The role focuses on leading Electronic Warfare or Cyber Security projects and delivering cutting‑edge embedded systems across space, air, land, sea and cyber domains.

Responsibilities
- Lead and own a complex development programme with a cross‑functional engineering team
- Resolve technical issues and lead key design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.)
- Estimate, schedule and track progress; report earned value metrics (CPI, SPI, ETC, BCWS, BCWP, ACWP)
- Interface with and present to key stakeholders including customers, regulatory authorities and senior managers
- Lead and influence the architectural design of complex engineering solutions across analogue/digital electronics, RF, FPGA, embedded software, application software, UI and mechanical solutions
- Guide development through the systems‑engineering lifecycle ensuring compliance with internal processes and legal/safety standards
- Contribute to technical proposals, bids and internal governance sign‑offs
- Mentor engineers to support skills development within the wider team
Qualifications
- Experience leading engineering development projects across most of the systems‑engineering lifecycle
- Experience working under tight time pressures and interfacing with key stakeholders including customers
- Experience leading a multidisciplinary engineering team of varied levels
- Relevant industry experience in Defence, Aerospace or other complex embedded environments
