L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager in Norfolk, VA. This role will provide day-to-day work direction for direct report(s), focuses on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions.
Essential Functions:
- Drives performance against key metrics including Work Order Attainment, Master Schedule Attainment, Customer On Time Delivery and Direct Labor Utilization.
- Understand and effectively communicate production goals.
- Monitor production yields, manage daily/weekly failure trends throughout all processes, lead yield improvement activities.
- Understand, communicate and enforce safety regulations and requirements.
- Lead and/or facilitate Lean/Continuous Improvement efforts and incorporate continuous improvement into the Manufacturing organization.
- Continually review and enforce the use and maintenance of work instructions, routers, logs, training matrix, calibration requirements and company procedures.
- Serve as an employer advocate (role model), positively promoting the company image and appropriately identify, address or direct concerns that may have a negative impact to culture of the organization.
- Keep detailed record of personnel performance and provide periodic feedback for subordinates, including recognition of strengths and opportunities for improvement, write and present annual performance reviews.
- Support 10% travel as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, there is a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- At least 2 years of experience following an engineered assembly process and maintaining consistent quality and productivity levels.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience communicating effectively with all levels.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing Processes and Terms.
- Ability to understand and interpret CAD drawings.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and measurement systems.
- Understanding of and experience working with root cause problem solving methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to isolate a problem and work toward resolution.
- ERP system knowledge.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is US$57,500.00 MIN - US$107,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
