The role will ensure that appropriate financial controls and procedures are followed.What the role will involveThe responsibilities of your role will include the following:Timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts.Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments, and provisionsComplete accurate balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation.Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.Ensure internal policies and procedures are followed, and SOX compliance is maintained.Support internal and external audit requirements.Assist with statutory accounts and tax-related information as required.Recommend improvements to financial processes and controlsWhat you’ll bring The role requires the following experience and skills:Qualified or part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent relevant experience.Experience in management accounting or a similar finance role.Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes.Important to knowApplicants who accept a conditional offer of employment must meet the requirement of right to work in the UK and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and will be subject to government security checks. #LI-Hybrid #SeniorSpecialistAccounting#LI-GP1
