Responsibilities- Implement PCB layouts for complex multi‑layer (4‑20 layers) rigid and flex‑rigid PCBs using micro, blind and buried vias as required.
- Collaborate with electronic design and mechanical engineering teams to ensure layouts meet functional and physical requirements.
- Generate PCB constraints to guarantee signal and power integrity.
- Create PCB manufacturing drawings, including bare board and assembly drawings.
- Work closely with PCB fabricators to ensure layouts align with their capabilities.
- Manage PCB part libraries and create land patterns for new components.
- Coach and mentor junior team members.
- Demonstrable expertise in the layout of complex high‑speed digital and RF designs using Siemens Xpedition Enterprise PCB design software.
- Experience implementing PCB layouts on both rigid and flex‑rigid board technologies.
- In‑depth knowledge of PCB placement and routing guidelines compliant with industry standards (e.g., IPC 2221).
- Experience with DFM and DFT design practices and liaising with PCB suppliers to optimise approaches and resolve issues.
- Experience using PLM software (such as Aras Innovator or Windchill) for PCB data configuration control.
- Ideally, experience with Siemens I/O Optimizer for managing high‑pin‑count devices such as FPGAs.
