L3Harris in Farnborough specialises in secure ground and airborne communication and network systems for the military, international forces and commercial customers. We engineer and maintain night vision goggles, radar systems and tactical radios. The L3Harris Falcon family of radios delivers networkâcentric communications for superior command and control, realâtime voice, data, fullâmotion HD video and crossbanding for missionâcritical communications in a single, integrated platform. Notably, we are the proud designer, supplier and maintainer of the 50,000 tactical radios in the Bowman tactical C4I system in service with the UK Armed Forces and are working to define and deliver the next generation system, Morpheus.
L3Harris is looking for a specialist project manager, responsible for the endâtoâend operational management of the UK demonstration asset pool, ensuring that L3Harris advanced tactical communications products are maintained, deployed, and recovered across the EMEA region in full compliance with international trade regulations.
Responsibilities- Support the demo pool manager with the internal and external lifecycle of demonstration assets, including tracking, scheduling, and maintenance to ensure high availability for customer engagements.
- Execute the shipping process and support the temporary export and reâimport of militaryâgrade ITARâcontrolled goods through the EMEA region.
- Apply knowledge of HMRC Temporary Admission (TA) and Returned Goods Relief (RGR) to minimize duty liabilities and ensure legal compliance for goods moving temporarily out of L3Harris CSUK.
- Provide handsâon technical support for the operation and basic troubleshooting of tactical communications equipment during demo preparation and stock management.
- Support the demo pool manager as the primary point of contact for internal sales and technical teams and external partners to coordinate equipment needs for demonstrations, trials, exercises, and trade shows.
- Manage shipments in conjunction with trade compliance teams for all essential export licensing and documentation, including TAAs, DSPâ73's, SIELs, MOD Form 680 clearances, and Carnets where applicable.
- Minimum 3â5 years in a similar role within the Defence or Aerospace sectors.
- Experience in shipping "controlled goods" and managing complex supply chain movements in highly regulated environments.
- Proficient in using management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) to track asset status and delivery timelines.
- Ability to operate and demonstrate military communications hardware (e.g., radios, tactical networks) and ensure equipment is configured correctly before deployment.
- A good understanding of US and HMRC processes, specifically ITAR regulations, TA and RGR, and the practical application of these regulations in a UK/EMEA context.
