Job Description
LRS Consulting Services is seeking an SAP Supply Chain Planning Analyst / Project Manager for a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Chesterfield, MO.
This is a stakeholder-facing role that bridges business teams and IT, driving process improvements and technology-enabled transformation across supply chain planning capabilities.
The role partners closely with Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and IT teams to identify improvement opportunities, lead initiatives, and deliver scalable SAP planning solutions.
This is not a hands-on technical role — we need someone who can take ownership, lead cross-functional teams to outcomes, and communicate effectively with minimal management support.
What You Will Do
- Serve as the functional liaison for supply chain planning processes, including supply planning, MRP, capacity planning, inventory planning, and production planning optimization
- Partner with supply chain teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement SAP-based solutions that improve service levels, inventory performance, and operational efficiency
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams for solution delivery
- Lead medium-to-large-scale projects and workstreams from initiation through deployment using structured project management methodologies
- Develop project plans and manage scope, risks, issues, dependencies, timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations
- Develop and deliver executive-level presentations, business cases, status updates, and recommendations for senior leadership
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops, design sessions, and decision-making forums across business teams
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, system integrators, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
- Support system testing activities including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production validation
- Apply Lean or continuous improvement methodologies to drive measurable business improvements
- Support incident management and resolution of planning-related production issues
- Develop business process flows, solution designs, test scripts, training materials, and implementation documentation
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience working within the SAP ecosystem, specifically in supply chain planning
- Project management experience leading cross-functional projects or system implementations
- Functional knowledge of supply chain processes including demand planning, inventory management, production planning, procurement, and logistics
- Understanding of SAP Supply Chain Management capabilities including one or more of: SAP PP, SAP MRP, SAP IBP, SAP APO, or S/4HANA Supply Chain Planning
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with experience communicating to executive and operational audiences
- Ability to take ownership and work independently with minimal direction
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with supply planning systems such as Blue Yonder or JDA
- Experience with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or SAP APO
- Experience with S/4HANA implementations and transformations
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodology experience
- Consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry experience
- Experience supporting global supply chain networks and multi-site manufacturing environments
- PMP certification
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Work Environment and Schedule
- Hybrid position based in Chesterfield, MO (Tuesday through Thursday onsite)
- Contract-to-hire with minimum one-year contract before conversion consideration
- Domestic and international travel may be required (approximately 15-25%)
- Occasional off-hours support for project deployments and critical business activities
The base range for this contract position is $55 - $75 per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
