The Role
- Support the Digital Trading Manager in executing the online trading strategy and campaigns, taking ownership of defined trading initiatives and delivery outcomes.
- Manage the implementation of onsite merchandising plans across navigation, category pages, internal search and product recommendations, using performance insight to drive optimisation.
- Work closely with digital marketing teams to ensure journeys are optimised from paid media, SEO & CRM onto the website for the best customer UX and monitor performance online including sessions, bounce rates and CVR to take forward into future learnings and to influence new trading strategies.
- Analyse website data to identify trends in customer behaviour and product performance, translating insights into clear trading actions.
- Monitor weekly bestseller performance across the site, taking proactive action to improve performance and conversion.
- Assess performance differences by region and optimise trading activity at market level.
- Contribute to weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reviews, tracking KPIs and ensuring actions are captured and reflected in future forecasts.
- Support and execute online trading events, including promotional setup, code implementation, site readiness and product placement to maximise commercial impact.
- Analyse site navigation, customer journeys and product placement to identify and implement improvements to enhance performance and user experience.
- Support site content updates and campaign launches, ensuring alignment with trading priorities and timelines.
- Collaborate with the SEO agency to support organic traffic growth and onsite optimisation strategies.
- Own the delivery and returns communication proposition onsite, ensuring clarity, consistency and customer relevance.
Who You Are
- Proficient in using web analytics tools to drive decision-making.
- Strong background in site merchandising and conversion optimisation strategies.
- Proven ability to lead, manage and develop teams.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce platforms and their commercial functionality.
- Experience driving both day-to-day improvements and larger strategic projects that contribute to sales growth.
- Advanced user of Google Analytics 4 and Excel.
- Experience working with Klevu, Anthos, Voyado and/or Depict would be desirable.
- Methodical and accurate with good attention to detail and able to work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
