About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Peripatetic Manager to support a group of five nursing homes, each offering specialised care for residents with complex needs, including behaviours which can challenge. The successful candidate will provide hands-on support to Home Management Teams to ensure and maintain compliance with CQC regulations, drive continuous improvement, and enhance the quality of care across all homes.
This mobile role is ideal for a proactive, qualified nurse with strong leadership skills, a passion for mentoring, and a commitment to delivering excellent outcomes in care.
Key responsibilities
-Provide operational support to Home Managers in achieving and sustaining CQC compliance.
-Mentor, coach, and develop staff at all levels, fostering a culture of learning and accountability.
-Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of action plans to address areas of improvement.
-Assist with auditing processes and quality assurance initiatives to promote best practices.
-Lead and support change initiatives to drive service development and improvement.
Requirements
-Minimum 3 years\’ experience in a management or leadership role within
elderly or dementia care
-Sound knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards, Health & Social Care
Act, and other relevant legislation
-Experience working within complex dementia environments and challenging behaviours
-Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and clinical
governance
-Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
-Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between services as
required. Areas of travel: Preston, Warrington, Stockport and Nantwich
