About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our friendly team in a private care home.
This is a full-time position with the temporary responsibility of overseeing maintenance across two care home sites, ensuring both environments remain safe, compliant, and well-maintained for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across both care home sites.
Perform general repairs including plumbing, joinery, decorating, basic electrical work, and routine maintenance.
Conduct regular health and safety checks, fire safety inspections, and building audits.
Ensure all maintenance records and compliance documentation are completed accurately.
Liaise with external contractors and oversee works when required.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Maintain the grounds and external areas to a high standard.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
About You
The successful candidate will have: Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
Good all-round practical skills across multiple trades.
A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
The ability to prioritise workload across two locations.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A full UK driving licence (essential).
An understanding of health and safety requirements within a care setting is desirable.
