We are looking for a skilled and confident CHAP (Care Home Assistant Practitioner) to join our supportive team at Gainsborough House Care Home. This is a vital role where you will play a key part in enhancing the clinical support provided to our residents, working alongside nurses and supporting the wider care team on days.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Support nurses with clinical tasks such as wound care, observations, medication rounds, and care plan reviews
- Provide mentorship and guidance to care staff, ensuring high standards of care
- Liaise with GPs, healthcare professionals, and families
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and in line with best practice
- Act as a role model for quality, safety, and compassion in care delivery
- Managing the day team
What You’ll Need:
- Completion of CHAP training (essential)
- Experience as a Senior Carer or similar role in a care home environment
- Confident with medication administration and clinical observations
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or higher)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A genuine passion for elderly care and team development
