Purpose: To manage the service department effectively.

Reporting To: The Depot Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Checking of hire equipment (Service Red Pen Checks)
  • Managing major and minor repairs to ensure highest equipment availability
  • Keeping statutory training up to date
  • Ensuring workshop and yard compliance
  • Processing workshop staff timesheets
  • Ensure regular communications with staff regarding performance targets, objectives, and the group's activities
  • Cost analyst: Analyse the weekly purchase order report, to cost save and highlight overspending across the depot.
  • Assisting in the recruitment of workshop fitters as required
  • You’ll be expected to drive improvements in team engagement and participation as well as boost productivity and retention levels
