We are looking for a Marketing Content & Bid Writing Lead to join our Sales & Marketing team and play a critical role in positioning Lynch as a trusted, expert, full-service delivery partner across major infrastructure projects. This is a senior, hands-on role with real ownership. You will lead Lynch's customer-facing long-form content and the end-to-end bid and tender writing process, ensuring everything we submit is compelling, compliant, consistent and fully aligned with the Lynch brand.

What you will do:

  • Own and lead Lynch's long-form written content across marketing, bids and customer communications.
  • Lead the full bid and tender lifecycle, including PQQs, ITTs, RFQs and framework submissions.
  • Research, plan, write and edit high-quality, persuasive and fully compliant bid responses.
  • Analyse customer requirements, evaluation criteria and scoring models to maximise bid performance.
  • Develop clear, customer-focused method statements covering mobilisation, logistics, service delivery, maintenance, health & safety and operational approach.
  • Translate complex technical and on-site delivery information into clear, persuasive content.
  • Create impactful case studies, thought leadership, reports, newsletters and capability materials.
  • Write engaging copy for the website, presentations, brochures and sales collateral.
  • Lead and manage content calendars for social media and Director profiles, aligned to business priorities.
  • Work closely with the wider marketing team to align written content with visual, video and campaign activity.
  • Coordinate inputs from Sales, Operations, Depot Teams, HSEQ, Key Accounts and Senior Leadership.
  • Manage bid timelines and ensure all submissions are accurate, professional and delivered on time.
  • Support the sales team with presentation content and bid-related responses.

Content & bid library ownership:

A key part of this role is improving consistency, efficiency and win rates. You will:

  • Own and continuously develop a centralised bid and content library.
  • Maintain version control across responses, method statements, case studies, CVs, policies and evidence.
  • Ensure content remains accurate, compliant and aligned with current fleet, services and accreditations.
  • Identify reusable content and best-practice responses to reduce bid preparation time.
  • Capture feedback from successful and unsuccessful bids to refine messaging and approach.
  • Develop templates and standard responses to support faster, higher-quality submissions.

You will also:

  • Work closely with internal teams to gather accurate technical, operational and commercial information.
  • Facilitate collaborative input sessions and content reviews with subject-matter experts.
  • Act as the central coordination point for written content across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proofread and quality-check all marketing and bid content for clarity, accuracy and consistency.
  • Lead post-bid reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced professional who brings energy, structure and attention to detail to this role.

  • Proven experience in marketing, communications and bid writing.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong focus on long-form content.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
  • A collaborative, structured and detail-driven approach.
  • Experience within plant hire, construction or infrastructure environments.

What you will get:

  • A senior role with ownership, visibility and real impact.
  • A collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities.
  • £250 'Love to Learn' voucher each year to support your personal development.
  • One Volunteer Day per year to support a cause you care about.
  • Subsidised gym membership - we will cover 50% of your monthly cost (subject to criteria).
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
  • Mental health and wellbeing support programmes.
  • Regular team socials and events.
