Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Analyst / Asset Accountant to support financial planning, reporting, and fixed asset management. This dual-role position will be responsible for analysing financial data to support strategic decisions while also managing the organizations fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Reporting Lines:
You will report into the Head of Commercial Finance
May require occasional travel for site audits or asset verification.
Asset Accountant Role and Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register.
Process asset acquisitions, disposals, accruals and prepayments and depreciation.
Perform monthly asset reconciliations and reporting.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and internal policies.
Assist in annual audits by providing fixed asset-related documentation.
Monitor capital expenditure and ensure correct classification.
Perform periodic physical asset verification and audits.
Analyse financial performance and prepare forecasts and assist with budgets, and reports.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Assist with variance analysis between actual results, budget, and forecast.
Prepare management reports to support business decision-making.
PO for delivery reconciliation and exports and sale of assets summaries
Support cost analysis and recommend improvements for efficiency.
Collaborate with departments to gather financial data and provide insights.
Other ad hoc Analysis
Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
Part-qualified in a professional accounting body (CIMA, ACCA, CPA, AAT) is desirable.
2-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or asset management preferred.
Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting, with proven reconciliation skills.
Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite (desirable).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling and data analysis.
Key Skills:
Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to work collaboratively across functions.
Ability to manage deadlines and multitask.
Knowledge of accounting standards and compliance regulations.
Problem-solving and data interpretation abilities.
Ability to work as a team
Working Conditions:
Mainly office based (1 day remote may be an option)
