We are looking to employ a reliable and responsible cleaner for a school in the Little Wakering Road area in Barling Magna. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 4.45am to 8.15am and 3.15pm to 6.45pm, with a pay rate of £13.00 per hour, resulting in a monthly salary of £1832.13. This position is for 38 weeks plus 1 non-pupil day per year and 5 weeks of deep cleaning during school holidays.
The successful candidate will be someone who can take direction well and has the ability to work alone. They will be able to implement cleaning policies and procedures with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include:
- Opening or locking and securing the site
- Replenishing hand soap, toilet rolls, etc.
- Cleaning offices and admin areas within the school, classrooms, toilets, and communal areas
- Emptying bins, polishing, mopping floors, hoovering, cleaning tables and chairs, and toilet cleaning
- Any other associated duties as required
Prior experience as a cleaner is an advantage, but not necessary. We are really looking for someone who is reliable, has a good attitude to work, enjoys their job, and is willing to learn. Attention to detail and taking pride in their work is essential.
Responsibilities include understanding basic hygiene and sanitation requirements for cleaning specific areas, carrying out cleaning duties thoroughly and with care, and maintaining general cleaning tasks up to required standards. Good communication skills are essential for health and safety reasons. Full training in all aspects of cleaning will be provided, and a uniform will be supplied.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, the expense of which will be partially covered by the employer.
