Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of a major data centre project in Leeds.
- Oversee electrical engineering activities from design review through to installation, testing and commissioning.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical submittals.
- Coordinate with design teams, project managers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Provide technical support to site teams and resolve engineering issues.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with project specifications, regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor installation quality and ensure inspections are completed in line with project requirements.
- Support testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems.
- Assist with technical queries, design changes and value engineering proposals.
- Attend technical meetings and provide progress updates to the project team.
- Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong background in data centres or complex commercial/industrial developments.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical building services, power distribution and associated systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Experience supporting installation, testing and commissioning activities.
- Strong technical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant electrical engineering or building services qualifications.
