Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced
MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their Leeds regional team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly respected organisation, supporting a varied portfolio of projects across commercial, infrastructure, healthcare, education, leisure and mission-critical sectors.
Working closely with project teams, commercial managers and operational delivery teams, you will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of MEP packages from procurement through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages across multiple projects.
- Assist with cost planning, estimating, procurement and subcontractor management.
- Manage valuations, variations, change control and payment applications.
- Prepare and review cost reports, forecasts and commercial performance updates.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers and site teams to maximise project performance.
- Assist with the preparation and agreement of subcontractor accounts and final accounts.
- Review contract documents, drawings, specifications and scope requirements.
- Monitor project costs and identify potential risks, opportunities and commercial improvements.
- Support procurement activities including tender analysis, negotiations and subcontractor appointments.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a
Surveyor within the MEP / Building Services sector.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations and associated commercial processes.
- Experience working for an M&E subcontractor, specialist contractor or building services organisation.
- Good knowledge of subcontract procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Experience working across multiple sectors and project environments would be advantageous.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and work collaboratively within project teams.
