A leading international data centre construction contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a major data centre project in Blyth.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale, technically complex project with an established contractor delivering mission-critical infrastructure across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate electrical subcontractors and site activities.
- Review and coordinate technical drawings and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance to subcontractors and engineering teams.
- Allocate and prioritise work to meet project programmes.
- Monitor installation quality and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and site requirements.
- Maintain high health and safety standards across site activities.
- Keep project documentation and technical logs up to date.
- Prepare test packs and handover documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve site processes, safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Relevant electrical engineering qualification, ideally a degree.
- 10+ years experience in a similar role within an M&E contracting environment.
- Data centre construction experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation and site coordination.
- Experience managing electrical subcontractors.
- Good understanding of health and safety, quality and compliance requirements.
- Strong organisational, communication and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
