Our client is a large and well-established MEP Sub-Contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major Mechanical & Electrical Packages on behalf of Tier 1 main contractors involved in technology schemes including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor plants and heavy industrial projects. Due to continued growth, our client is now seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to join their team based on a Commercial build in Central London.
Responsibilities
- Overall MEP Project Delivery: Take full responsibility for the delivery of mechanical, electrical, and public health packages on a large, complex commercial development, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Programme, Cost & Resource Management: Manage detailed MEP programmes, procurement schedules, and cost controls, coordinating labour, materials, and subcontractors to achieve key milestones and phased handovers.
- Design, Coordination & Technical Management: Lead MEP design coordination activities, working closely with consultants, the main contractor, and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues, manage change, and ensure buildable, coordinated solutions.
- Quality, Safety & Compliance: Ensure all MEP works are delivered in full compliance with project specifications, British Standards, QA/QC requirements, and HSE regulations, driving a strong safety and quality culture on site.
- Client, Stakeholder & Team Leadership: Act as a key point of contact for the main contractor and client team, chairing progress meetings, reporting on performance, and leading site and project teams to successful completion and handover.
Requirements
- Must have relevant degree level qualification or equivalent trades background
- Must have 8+ years' experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects
- Must be based within a commutable distance of London
