A highly respected building services consultancy delivering complex pharmaceutical and life sciences facilities across the UK and Europe is seeking a Mechanical Design Lead / Associate Director. This is a strategic hire with a clear and defined pathway to Director level as part of the company’s succession and growth plan. You will join a technically strong leadership team delivering GMP, cleanroom and regulated manufacturing environments.

The Role

  • Lead mechanical design across pharmaceutical & GMP projects
  • Oversee HVAC, cleanroom ventilation & environmental control systems
  • Develop contamination control & pressure cascade strategies
  • Lead utilities design (CHW, LTHW, steam, compressed air)
  • Mentor and grow the mechanical design team
  • Act as senior client-facing technical authority
  • Support commercial strategy & business development
  • Sign off and oversee detailed design delivery
