A major UK engineering contractor delivering large-scale data centre projects is seeking an experienced HV Authorised Person to support HV operations, switching, and safety management on a flagship London hyperscale site. This is a long-term opportunity with a contractor known for exceptional engineering capability, strong safety culture, and consistent repeat business with global data centre clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out HV switching, permits, isolations, and safety documentation
- Act as the Authorised Person for HV systems across the project
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety rules and site procedures
- Support commissioning teams during energisation and IST phases
- Coordinate with electrical supervisors, engineers, and client representatives
- Review HV designs, RAMS, switching schedules, and procedures
- Maintain HV logs, reports, and safety records
Key Requirements
- Experience as an HV AP on data centre, industrial or mission-critical projects
- Strong knowledge of HV distribution, switching, and safety processes
- Ability to manage safe systems of work and deliver switching operations
- Experience supporting commissioning and energisation phases
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
