A growing London-based development and construction business is seeking an experienced Construction Planner to support the delivery of complex mixed-use residential projects. With an established in-house team spanning project management, construction, design and engineering, this role offers the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment where decisions are made quickly and projects progress at pace.
The business is currently delivering multiple mixed-use schemes in London, with further projects in the pipeline, and places a strong emphasis on sustainable construction methods, efficient programming and innovative delivery solutions. The role will be primarily office-based in London, with regular site visits required to support live projects.
This position would suit a planner who enjoys working closely with delivery teams, thrives in a dynamic setting and is comfortable working five days a week in the office alongside project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and update detailed construction programmes from pre-construction through to project completion, reflecting design, procurement and construction activities.
- Track site progress against agreed programmes, identify delays or risks, and produce regular progress reports for project and senior management teams.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, consultants and subcontractors to ensure programmes are realistic, coordinated and aligned with site operations.
- Identify programme risks and opportunities, carry out critical path and delay analysis, and support mitigation strategies to maintain key milestones.
- Provide planning input across live and future projects, supporting tender planning, sequencing reviews and project recovery where required.
Requirements
- Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background.
- Must have 4+ years experience in a similar role on construction projects.
- Must be based within a commutable distance of London.
