The Role:
- Assist with the preparation and finishing of patterns and moulds used in composite manufacturing
- Carry out hand finishing using a variety of tools, including air tools and abrasives
- Apply sealers to patterns and complete post-spray preparation
- Work from engineering drawings and standard operating procedures
- Support continuous improvement of processes to enhance quality and efficiency
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and in good working order
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Skills & Experience Needed:
- Previous experience in a pattern shop or similar manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
- Ability to follow instructions and work to defined processes
- Good understanding of health and safety in a workshop environment
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
