An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading advanced manufacturing organisation specialising in high-performance carbon fibre components for the automotive and motorsport sectors. With decades of industry expertise, the business is known for delivering precision-engineered solutions to some of the most prestigious brands globally.
Operating to the highest quality standards, the company continues to grow and invest in its people and technology, offering a stable and progressive environment for skilled engineers. They are now looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team.
The Role:
- Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines to produce high-quality components
- Work from setup sheets and download programmes generated from Powermill
- Machine patterns, moulds, and trim carbon fibre components
- Work with a variety of materials and complex parts
- Ensure all work is completed to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Work efficiently to meet production deadlines with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with team members and report into the CNC Manager
Skills & Experience Needed:
- Proven experience operating 5-axis CNC machinery
- Experience working with high-precision components and tight tolerances
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings and setup sheets
- Experience machining composites or similar materials (advantageous)
- Familiarity with CMS machines and/or Fanuc controls (desirable but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Apprenticeship / BTEC or equivalent engineering qualification (preferred)
