Teacher of Food

We are seeking a passionate Teacher of Food Preparation & Nutrition to join our Technology department and help pupils develop practical skills, nutritional understanding and a lifelong appreciation for food, health and wellbeing.

The Role

As a Teacher of Food Preparation & Nutrition, you will:

• Deliver engaging, well‑sequenced practical and theory lessons
• Teach a curriculum that builds pupils’ confidence, independence and creativity
• Promote high standards of hygiene, safety and organisation in all practical work
• Support pupils to understand nutrition, sustainability, food provenance and healthy lifestyles
• Use assessment effectively to identify misconceptions, close gaps and secure strong progress
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and vulnerable pupils
• Contribute to curriculum development, moderation and departmental improvement
• Build positive, respectful relationships that help pupils thrive
• Play an active role in the wider life of the academy
