Works Shop Manager Permanent – Shrewsbury
L & C Consulting are recruiting on behalf of a small, but rapidly growing, privately owned, Engineering specialist on the outskirts of Shrewsbury for an experienced Work Shop / Maintenance Manager to join them on a permanent basis. Working days, Mon Fri.
Managing a small team of workshop staff, duties will include (but not be limited to):
All areas of daily management including
- Day to day workshop staff management
- Manage team in vehicle and equipment maintenance including PPM scheduling, test and pre-use checks as well as reactive repair
- Support engineering team in parts procurement and stock management
- Assisting in hands on repair as appropriate
- Liaising with & managing external service engineers
Experience of managing staff within engineering / maintenance is essential to be considered for this role, ideally in general or agricultural engineering. Practical, hands on experience is also essential.
Youll also need to be IT literate and have experience of managing an engineering stores environment. Youll need to posses a valid, UK drivers licence as there will be a need for occasional travel to support breakdowns etc.
Excellent communication, man-management and organisational skills are all essential from the right applicant.
The Shrewsbury site is fully accessible from Telford, Bridgnorth, Welshpool, Oswestry etc
