L & C Consulting are recruiting with an engineering specialist in Shrewsbury for a new Senior Sales Engineer / BDM. This new permanent position will suit an experienced and tenacious Senior Sales Person / Construction Sales Manager who is looking for a new, rewarding opportunity with a genuine industry leader.
Duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Dealing with incoming enquiries from an established client base and nurturing those relationships
- Phone and face-to-face sales
- Generating new business
- Working closely with various internal departments, preparing and presenting quotes and supporting information to customers
- Negotiating with customers and ensuring a full and detailed understanding of their requirements
- Working with and understanding technical engineering drawings
- Reporting and updating CRM
- Predominantly office based (part working from home option) with site visits (UK)
To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you will already be an experienced technical/sales engineer, specifically within civil engineering or construction related industries, ideally where you will have experience of selling one-off packages and projects of up to £1 million. You will ideally have an HND/HNC or equivalent (or higher) in an Engineering discipline; experience with electrical engineering is advantageous.
You will be professional, hard-working and self-motivated to deliver a first-class service to your customers whilst being a strong team player, working with and supporting the other departments within the business. Strong communication and sales techniques are required, as is an engineering background and understanding.
The role comes with a generous salary (£50,000 +, DOE) plus commission and company car. Based in Shrewsbury, but requiring occasional travel around the UK, the office is commutable from Telford, Oswestry, Market Drayton, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Bridgnorth, Ironbridge etc.
