About the Role
As a Warehouse Operative you will play a key role in the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring that trade and retail customers receive their orders accurately and on time. This is a hands‑on role that requires attention to detail, good organisation, and a strong work ethic in a fast‑paced environment.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8am – 5.30pm and alternate Saturdays’ 8.30am – 1pm
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and prepare automotive parts for delivery or collection
- Receive incoming deliveries and check them against purchase orders
- Store parts correctly and keep the warehouse organised and tidy
- Load and unload delivery vans safely and efficiently
- Assist with regular stock checks and inventory control
- Report any stock discrepancies or damaged items
- Support delivery drivers with loading and route preparation
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
- Provide occasional support to the parts counter or customer service team when needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stockroom environment is preferred but not essential
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
- Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
- Basic IT or handheld scanner skills
