Job Purpose

Responsible for functionally leading geographic expansion into Emerging Markets as well as nurturing sustainable partnerships for Kyowa Kirin’s Rare Disease portfolio. The V&A Director will focus on building and executing pricing and reimbursement strategies and tactics with our local external Business partners to ensure successful commercialisation of KKI strategic assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all pricing and access activities for new markets and existing partner markets (Emerging markets) in collaboration with key internal and business partner functions.
  • Support the execution of the Cluster goals including pricing, patient and revenue targets, as well as access timelines.
  • Develop business cases for internal approvals by the Franchises, KKI Pricing Governance and/or the Executive Committees.
  • Support business partners in the development of managed entry schemes and health economic and outcomes analyses required for access, working in collaboration with internal cross‑functional teams such as medical affairs and HEOR, pricing teams.
  • Actively understand pricing developments for existing partner markets in collaboration with the pricing team and inform the Cluster leadership team about potential implications.
  • Foster cross‑functional collaboration internally and externally to ensure successful timely execution of the Cluster commercial strategy.
  • Provide local insights and contributions to the company regional and global Franchises, V&A and Pricing governance committees.

Qualifications

  • Economic and/or scientific academic education.
  • Extensive experience working within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience of managing teams.
  • Strong commercial background, health economics knowledge and experience through developing and executing V&A strategies in Emerging markets.
  • Pricing and IRP experience.
  • Possess expert knowledge of reimbursement processes in healthcare via government and or insurance companies in Emerging markets (minimum Brazil, Mexico, EAEU, Turkey, Poland).
  • Prior experience with orphan drugs and innovative access schemes (MEAs).
  • Clear track record of working with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally, to influence, define and implement V&A strategies and plans.
  • Prior experience of working with business partners.
  • Ability to work hands‑on with the role responsibilities.
  • Professional level in English language, fluent written and spoken.
  • Occasional local and international travel with overnight stays.
