KYOCERA AVX is a global business and a leading supplier of electronic components to a worldwide customer base. Our manufacturing facility in Coleraine is at the leading edge of technological change and will help you develop all of your skills in a challenging environment. We currently have an opportunity for an Electronics Technician to join our maintenance department. This position offers variety and a broad range of responsibilities including:

  • Commissioning, maintaining, fault-diagnosing and modification of automated assembly and production equipment
  • Providing support to plant facilities and systems
  • Working as part of a multi-skilled team in a high tech environment.

Essential Criteria:

  • Educated to ONC in a relevant discipline
  • A minimum of 1 years practical experience of fault finding to component level on analogue / digital systems within a manufacturing environment
  • A working knowledge of PLCs
  • Thorough understanding of electrical circuitry
  • Computer literate
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for fault finding and problem solving on production type equipment
  • Ability to take general directions but work with minimal supervision
  • Good team working and communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Educated to HNC standard in relevant discipline or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant practical experience of fault finding to component level on analogue and digital systems.

The successful applicant will be required to adopt flexible working practices, work shifts and provide overtime and holiday cover.
