Electronic Technician – Coleraine

KYOCERA AVX is a global leader in electronic components, serving a worldwide customer base. Our manufacturing facility in Coleraine is at the forefront of technological innovation, offering a dynamic environment to develop your skills. We are currently seeking an Electronics Technician to join our maintenance team.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Commissioning, maintaining, fault-diagnosing, and modifying automated assembly and production equipment.
  2. Providing support to plant facilities and systems.
  3. Working as part of a multi-skilled team in a high-tech environment.

Essential Criteria:

  • Educated to ONC level in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuitry.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Competence in maintaining electrical equipment and machinery.
  • Aptitude for fault finding and problem-solving on production equipment.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to follow general directions with minimal supervision.
  • Good team working and communication skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Educated to HNC level or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of practical experience in fault finding to component level on analogue and digital systems.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs.
  • Knowledge of 16th and 18th Edition electrical standards.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
