Electronic Technician – Coleraine
KYOCERA AVX is a global leader in electronic components, serving a worldwide customer base. Our manufacturing facility in Coleraine is at the forefront of technological innovation, offering a dynamic environment to develop your skills. We are currently seeking an Electronics Technician to join our maintenance team.
Responsibilities include:
- Commissioning, maintaining, fault-diagnosing, and modifying automated assembly and production equipment.
- Providing support to plant facilities and systems.
- Working as part of a multi-skilled team in a high-tech environment.
Essential Criteria:
- Educated to ONC level in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuitry.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Competence in maintaining electrical equipment and machinery.
- Aptitude for fault finding and problem-solving on production equipment.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to follow general directions with minimal supervision.
- Good team working and communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Educated to HNC level or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of practical experience in fault finding to component level on analogue and digital systems.
- Working knowledge of PLCs.
- Knowledge of 16th and 18th Edition electrical standards.
- Mechanical aptitude.
