KYN is a brand-new care home company focused on offering an elevated approach to care: Individualised journeys built around the needs and interests of our residents in beautiful surroundings with life-enriching practices. Our first home, KYN BICKLEY, opened in February 2023. KYN BICKLEY is an 86-bedroom home offering each resident an elegant and comfortable bedroom, communal areas for dining and reclining; and inviting outdoor terraces overlooking landscaped gardens bordered by woodland. We have a further three care homes in development in London.

About the opportunity

  • Supporting the Hospitality Manager and Head Chef in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere and consistently delivering an exceptional catering experience for our residents and their families.
  • Providing room service, restaurant, and bar service to our residents and guests in line with KYN’s exceptional standards including preparing meal trays, delivering refreshments, and removing trays following meals.
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and best practices are always maintained and that health and safety, compliance and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensuring that residents’ and relatives’ dietary requirements are catered for.
  • Reporting any complaints to the Head Chef/Hospitality Manager at the earliest convenience.
  • Ensuring that all rules and regulations concerning serving food and beverages are strictly complied with.
  • Creating a nurturing environment where our residents and their family members feel loved, happy, safe, and secure.
  • Ensuring that all alcohol is served responsibly and to adhere to the terms of the premises licence.

About you

  • You will have experience of working within a similar hospitality venue.
  • You will be a professional, who understands the importance of delivering and maintaining high standards – keeping a safe, clean, and compliant environment.
  • You will have strong communication skills, a corporative and polite manner, and an eye for detail.
  • You will have the ability to work under pressure, flexibly and consistently.
  • You will be trustworthy, caring, adaptable, friendly, and patient and continually striving for excellence.
  • You must be over the age of 18 as you will be required to serve drinks in the Great Room.
